Alrighty! My old doujin I was working on for Andante has been taken on by Aarinfantasy. Yes, they don't do just fan subbing anymore, they scanlate! The doujin I've done is called "Boku no Koi no Hanashi: Himegoto". It ought to be released on Aarinfantasy around the beginning of September. If you like yaoi or even shounen-ai, please check it out! I felt bad wasting such a nice story before Aarinfantasy offered to take it.

As I've mentioned a few days ago, the scanlating site I worked for disbanded. I'm currently looking for a new job for the remaining summer and early autumn. (Things get busy around December and I have little extra time from then.) If you or anyone you know is in or runs a doujinshi scanlating group and is in need of a translator, e-mail me. I'll do just about anything but I prefer shoujo, shounen-ai, and doujins baed off FMA, Naruto, or the like. Sorry, but I can't do actual yaoi; I'm still legally underage and my parents wouldn't like if they happened to see *that's* what I was working on.
This will (hopefully) be the third group I've worked with. After having the last two die out on me and almost quitting one, I've got some qualifications I'd like for the group to have before they ask me to join. I don't want to sound snotty, but I'm sick of never getting credit and a lack of info.
1.) I'm not perfect. I will make mistakes. First off, have an editor; I wouldn't want to present a doujin to the public if it wasn't edited. Also, I'm still learning Japanese; I'm not native Japanese or anywhere near what I'd consider fluent. I'm not new to the language, just don't expect me to be able to get every little thing (especially loan words) right. If you'de like an example of my previous works I'll be glad to mail you some.
2.) I don't think I can say this enough: please, please, PLEASE keep in contact with me, especially if you're the one who said 'Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions'. There's nothing that annoys me more than my e-mails being ignored and wondering if you've fled the country because I haven't heard from you in a month. 
3.) If there's a deadline, tell me AHEAD of time. 
4.) Don't ask me to join if you've been losing fans and are planning on disbanding.
5.) Please give me the credit I deserve. Nothing feels worse than having been working on a story for a month and a half and still see the 'Translated by:' block blank or 'More info soon!'.
I hope there's someone out there who can use my help because I'd really like the experience for my future career. Once again, please E-MAIL me because if you just send me a message over LiveJournal I might not get it for a while.
