Youtube's Copyright Issues Rant

If you're an otaku and a Youtube buff like me, you've probably heard of if not seen the Yu-gi-oh Abridged Series or the (slightly less popular) Naruto Abridged series. If you haven't, you really better hurry because they're disappearing fast. If you have watched anime on Youtube, that is, when it was still there, you've probably seen the notices of "Stop Youtube from deleting our anime!" and such. Youtube has been removing anime, especially those that have been bought by American companies, in order to stay with in the boundaries of copyright laws of which fansubs are somewhat pushing. It would seem that the same goes for parodies such as the Yu-gi-oh Abridged Series.
Although the American copyright law allows parodies proper disclaimers must be made, such as the "I don't own *insert series name*. It belongs to *insert company or author name*" like those you see on fanfictions. From what I've seen, Little Kuriboh, the creator of the Yu-gi-oh Abridged, has put a disclaimer on every single one of his parodies. The creators of the afore mentioned Naruto Abridged haven't been so careful.
It is somewhat understandable why Youtube wouldn't want the Naruto Abridged series, but their removal of the Yu-gi-oh parodies is still confusing. More puzzling still is their recent removal of Little Kuriboh's live version of episode 1 of his Yu-gi-oh abridged. He was just in the middle of some British suburb going through the lines he made up in the characters' parodied voices without the use of any of the actual anime. A disclaimer was also provided with this clip as well.
Both Little Kuriboh and the creators of Naruto Abridged have been banned or suspended from Youtube at least once. I'm not saying that Youtube should ignore the copyright laws, but be more aware of them. So should the creators of any parody, even if it is just a parody. Always remember the disclaimer, people! State it clearly and make it known that you, the highschool or college student to not, in fact, own this world popular anime.
